I'm Micky! I like making things.

I design and create jewelry using silver, gold, brass, and various gemstones. I especially love making jewelry that is very tiny and has small geometric stones like triangles and squares.

I use a lot of triangles and squares in my jewelry because they make me feel grounded and balanced and strong, and my dream is that people can wear my jewelry and feel more grounded and balanced and strong too.

I also make bolo ties out of wood and steel. The steel components are laser cut, then sanded and polished by hand. The wood components I design in Blender, cut out on my CNC router, and sand and polish by hand. I also shape the bolo tips out of stainless steel.

Outside of jewelry and bolo making, I also enjoy programming LEDs for art installations and building LED sculptures. (I started out as a software developer and will always be a computer nerd at heart.) You can learn more about my LED work here: https://mickymakes.art
